What is an Affidavit?

Affidavit is a letter given by a person declaring certain facts. It can also be a declaration, statement or affirmation before an individual or a board who has the rights to authorize it.

Affidavits or mostly used to counter legal issues.

The below  affidavit is for legal clearance stating that there are no criminal charges against the individual. This readymade affidavit form can be modified according to the nature of the affidavit you need to produce. This is only a sample format.

AFFIDAVIT

I, (name………), son of (name……), Hindu aged about 00 years residing at (address …………………),  do hereby solemnly affirm and sincerely state as follows;

I am the petitioner herein and I am well acquainted with facts.

I submit that my date of birth is (00th Month, Year………) at ( City/District/Village , State…………)  Hence, I hereby declare that my date of birth is on (00th Month, Year………)

I state that there is no criminal case registered or pending against me anywhere till date.

This affidavit is required to be produced before (mention the place wherever required)  in proof of the above facts.
